1. Information you provide
We collect the information needed for worker registration and profiles: phone number, name or business name, skills, service location and coordinates, service area, experience, languages, description, photos and availability. We also receive reviews, bulk-hire enquiries, support messages and information used to verify ownership and moderate content. Payments create transaction, plan and subscription records; card and payment authentication details are handled by Razorpay.
2. Public listings and private information
Published profiles intentionally show contact numbers, approved profile information, work photos and public reviews so people can find and contact workers. Published photos can be accessed through public image links, and public listings may appear in search engines. Reviewer and enquiry phone numbers, OTPs, pending edits, internal moderation notes and payment records are not part of the public profile. Do not upload information or photos you do not want published.
3. Workforce of India migration
WorkerJi is the rebuilt directory operated by the same company as Workforce of India. Eligible legacy profiles, skills, locations, photos and relevant review and subscription records may be imported for continuity. A migrated listing does not mean someone has verified ownership in WorkerJi. Owners can claim their listing or contact support for correction, unpublishing or deletion.
4. Location and search
You can search without an account using a place or PIN code. Current-location search asks for device permission; you can decline and enter a place instead. Coordinates are used to find nearby workers. Text suggestions and location lookups may send search text or coordinates to Google Maps services when needed. We reuse available PIN location records and temporarily cache new Google PIN coordinates under the provider’s retention limits. Worker service locations are stored as part of profiles.
5. Cookies, local storage and activity records
Website sessions and device storage remember preferences, selected skill and location, and app data needed for sign-in or offline use. Clearing storage can remove these settings. We record searches and profile views, call taps and WhatsApp taps to operate the directory and show activity totals. Salted identifiers help deduplicate events and limit abuse; these are pseudonymous, not a promise of complete anonymity. Technical logs may include IP addresses, browser or device details, times and errors. A contact tap does not tell us what was said on a call or in WhatsApp.
6. Why we use information
We use information to operate listings and search, verify phones and ownership, moderate content, prevent abuse, process Premium purchases, send service notices, answer support requests and maintain security. Worker statistics describe tracked activity, not guaranteed work. We may retain or disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect users, rights or the service.
7. Providers and external links
Providers process information needed for hosting, storage, SMS delivery, maps, payment processing, app notifications and configured error monitoring. These include Google Cloud, Google Maps, Firebase/Expo, SMS Horizon or MSG91, and Razorpay where used. Contacting support or workers through WhatsApp involves WhatsApp’s own service. We do not sell personal data or disclose private information to third parties for advertising without consent. Public profile information remains visible as described above.
8. Permissions and messages
Location, photos and notifications are requested in context. You can manage device permissions in system settings and app push preferences where available. Denying a permission can limit the related feature. Turning off optional push notifications does not stop necessary OTP, account or payment messages. Upload only photos you are authorised to share.
9. Retention and deletion
We keep information as needed to run the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet financial or legal obligations. Deleting an account removes public identifying profile details, schedules photo removal and revokes account access; a non-reversible phone hash may remain. Payment records and limited de-identified security or activity records may be retained. Copies already held by other people or search engines are outside our direct control. Use Settings → Delete account in the app or the Delete account page on the website.
10. Choices, correction and complaints
You can update profile details, request unpublishing or deletion, and contact support about access, correction, consent or privacy concerns. For a written complaint, use the Contact page’s WhatsApp channel and explain the issue. We may verify identity to protect the account before investigating or acting. Do not share OTPs or payment passwords.
11. Security and minors
We use safeguards such as access controls, encrypted connections and phone verification to reduce unauthorised access. Public worker information and photos are deliberately public. No system can eliminate every security risk. WorkerJi is intended for people of legal age, not minors. Contact support if you believe a minor’s personal information has been provided so we can investigate.
12. Changes, law and contact
This policy follows the laws of India. We will publish policy changes here with an updated date. Contact True Factor Applications and Technology Solutions Private Limited through WorkerJi’s Contact page for questions or concerns. The policy describes WorkerJi; other services you visit have their own policies.
